Question 1

What does Stedhold do?

Accepted Answer

Stedhold hosts an app you already built (a public GitHub repo, a zip, or an existing server) at a private link (<slug>.apps.stedhold.com) behind an email sign-in gate. Apps sleep after 15 minutes without visitors.

Question 2

Which apps can Stedhold run?

Accepted Answer

Streamlit, Gradio, FastAPI, Next.js and Vite apps, plus any existing server with a public address.

Question 3

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Builder is $19 / mo for 3 apps. Agency and Business plans are coming soon.

Question 4

Who operates Stedhold?

Accepted Answer

Martin Prado, an independent developer.

Question 5

What counts as an app?

Accepted Answer

One source (a Git repository, a zip, or a server you protect) with one private link. Rebuilding or rolling back the same app does not count as a new app.

Question 6

Why can only 2 apps be awake at once?

Accepted Answer

Apps sleep when nobody is using them, which keeps the price low. If two apps are already awake, put one to sleep before you wake a third. Sleeping apps keep their link, their build and their access list.

Question 7

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. If you want to try Stedhold with one app before paying, write to hello@stedhold.com.

Question 8

When are Agency and Business available?

Accepted Answer

When larger app sizes and separate client workspaces are ready. Request access and say which plan you need, and you will hear first.
